Yorktown Wedding at The Hornsby House Inn

Some of my loves in life: Yorktown, historic buildings, fun & laid back couples, dogs, and sweet tea. I got almost all that and more at Audrey & Matthew's wedding!

(I forgot my tumbler of sweet-tea at the house that day).

From the very beginning of their planning process, I knew Audrey & Matthew were going to be a very special couple to me. I was not wrong! They already had many decisions taken care of and a solid vision for their wedding day. The colors, the layout, where they wanted first looks; it was easy to fit into their vision and bring it to life. This kind of teamwork only comes from a truly connected duo. During their engagement session, which we did at their wedding venue!, I could see that was the case. The look in Audrey's eyes said that Matthew is her closest and truest friend, and it was clear that Matthew would do anything for Audrey. On top of being an amazing team, they are so down to earth! We talked so easily during their engagement session, about life and school and dogs (they have the cutest pair of pups!!). By the end, I felt like family.

The vision they created together came to fruition on their wedding day and it was beautiful! From the very beginning with the beautiful array of sweet, intentional details, to the coordinating ending of an amazing group of vendors, every moment was perfect. They were surrounded by friends and families that love them to the moon and back (and a group of Virgnia Tech Alum - Go Hokies!!).

Every wedding is an honor to capture, but this one truly felt like witnessing two friends join their lives together. Thank you Audrey & Matthew for having us there!
