Wedding Week Prep!

Your wedding is almost HERE! I'm sure you're equal parts nervous, excited, and ready for it to be done!

That's completely understandable. Planning a wedding is a beautiful process, but it's also stressful.

These 10 tips are to help make the last week a little less overwhelming and the day itself smoother!

Details

Have the following items set aside in a shoe box or something similar so that we can photograph these immediately upon arrival!

1. the rings (engagement too!) • ring boxes • any jewelry you two will be wearing • the bouquet and boutonnière • wedding shoes (both!) • perfume and cologne • tie or bow tie • the invitations (plus envelopes) • any sentimental or special items you would like included • spare florals (ask your florist for some scraps!) • wedding dress and veil (we can meet with you to grab this!)

Shoes

Break in your wedding shoes. Walking down the aisle is not the time to find out they give you blisters!

Rain Prep

Have rain plans in place - and tell us what those plans are! We will have our equipment protected, but want to be sure we are aware of any changes.

Confirm Vendors Timeline

Be sure every vendor knows when they need to arrive if you haven't already

Emergency Kit

Pack an emergency kit for both of you! Makeup, wipes, headache medicine, deodorant, hairbrush, and pins are some that I recommend!

Honeymoon Packing

Leaving for the honeymoon right after, or even just a night out? Pack for that now and set to the side.

Pack Snacks

Don't get hangry! Have your favorite snacks and water and drinks set to the side for the day of.

Family Prep

Check with your family members (and any friends) who will be in family portraits that they know they will be in photos and to stay nearby after the ceremony

Bridal Party Prep

Talk with your party to make sure they are all set - wardrobe, travel, etc. And that they know too to stay for photos!

BREATHE

Above all else - take a moment now, and throughout the week, and ESPECIALLY the day of, to just breathe.

This day is for you and the love of your life. Truly what really matters at the end of the day is that you have each other. Don't let the planning make you forget why you're doing this. So go give them a big hug, a sweet kiss, and just have a moment!
