Location, Location, Location
Are you wanting to plan a photography session, but have no clue where to capture your story? Do you think of a place, but then start doubting if that would be a good spot, or even the perfect spot to tell the story of You? Do you have 50 places in mind but can't narrow it down? Or have absolutely zero places in mind and don't know where to start?
Don't worry - it happens to all of us! We all want to capture those picture perfect scenes that we see on Pinterest or Instagram but look around at our own cities and think "I have no idea where to begin!". But stress no further; picking a location can be one of the best parts of your photography session journey!
To start, think of places that mean something special to you: Maybe where you first met your partner or where you two had your first date; your favorite date night location or the spot of one of your most favorite memories. For families, think of places that you love bringing the whole family out to - a special park, beach, or even your own backyard. Having an emotional connection with a location can lead to some beautiful pictures because not only do you love who is in the picture with you, but you love the familiar environment you're in.
Next, consider activities you like doing together. Are you more so beachy people or woodsy? Do you like nature trails, ponds, or bridges? Do you prefer evenings spent in urban streets with shops and restaurants around you? Narrowing places down to ones that best represent you and your interests is a perfect way to pick a location!
Luckily, living in the Virginia Tidewater gives you a huge assortment of beautiful locations that can capture your amazing story and the beauty of the area we live in! Check out my list below of a few great spots that I personally adore.
